Well summer gives way to fall with the opening of schools cooling of the over night highs. But this could not prevent the 4 the annual Labor Day weekend rally at Scusset Beach. Thanks to the work of Paul the 4 groups enjoyed a diamond weekend. The weather was the best of the season 66 families entered the field and settled in for the weekend. Friday was exciting as some traveler's reunited after a year of travel. Saturday dawned bright and sunny every one busy setting up and starting the food prep for the afternoon pot luck. @ 1 pm it looked like a small ant hill as the many dishes made there way across the field to the tent. the line formed quickly for the members to choose the many items available. Scallops wrapped in bacon, Jan's signature French Fries, hot dogs, chicken, salads of every description. only to mention a few. Saturday evening opened up into a rare campfire @ the beach until the wind produced a conflict and brought the tent down. Sunday was off to a great windy start as we departed envious of the people staying till Monday but some one has to work.
