In what had to be the worst travel day this summer we slipped out of the drive @ 5:45 AM on Thursday for a week in southern Maine. After meeting friends we chose to have breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Wrentham and wait out the rain. Breakfast was good not as terrific as I was told but it filled the void and got us off to a good start. On the road @ 8:30 the 55MPH on 495 allowed us to catch up with the rain as we approached 95 split into New Hampshire. Bogging down to 40 MPH in poor visibility it seemed like a long trip. With perseverance we did find Yankeeland Campground in Kennebunkport. Our best option was to site tight till mid after noon before attempting to set up. We will try and keep you posted.
